Febbraio 2015

We are inviting you to join your colleagues, customers and friends from the UK drinks industry at The Benevolent Ball at The Dorchester, on Thursday 12th March 2015.

This year we are asking senior figures within the trade to not only invite valued clients and senior managers, but also to seize the opportunity to host other key members of their staff who have made a positive difference to their company.

At the Ball we will be celebrating the success of our ‘Here to Help’ campaign, and in line with the true spirit of this initiative we hope to see all areas and all levels of the trade represented. People are the greatest asset of our vibrant drinks industry and an invitation to the Ball is the perfect way to reward high achievers whilst supporting vulnerable colleagues facing medical or financial hardship.

As part of our ongoing celebration of our UK drinks industry community this year we are delighted to announce that Ewan Murray, of The Wine Society, will be the premier after dinner entertainment, playing with his band, Chapter Eight. Described by many clients as “the ultimate party band”, Chapter Eight is an extremely popular and experienced ten-piece function band which performs the very best dance music from the last six decades. Ewan Murray commented “It goes without saying that The Benevolent Ball is the best party in town, and we’re so looking forward to this gig. Get ready to dance the night away!”

In addition to this musical highlight, guests will also be treated to the amazing talents of magician Jamie Raven, back by popular demand. Jamie was unanimously voted into the world famous Magic Circle on his first attempt. His performances, which include an appearance at Buckingham Palace as part of the Queens 80th Birthday Celebrations, are legendary and have seen him invited to perform for some of the most high profile individuals in the world.

The evening starts with our Salon des Champagnes, sponsored by sponsored by Champagne Houses Cattier, Louis Roederer and Taittinger. This will be followed by a wonderful four course meal, created by executive chef, Henry Brosi at The Dorchester, served with fine wines. There will also be the highly popular ‘Benevolent Auction’ where guests will have the opportunity to bid for some very special auction lots.

After dinner there will be a cocktail bar where guests can network, a casino and a photo booth where attendees can commemorate the night. Many thanks to our main sponsors this year, Diageo GB, JF Hillebrand, and Pernod Ricard UK, Treasury Wine Estates and William Grant & Sons.

Tickets are £ 220 to non-Benevolent members, and £ 210 to members of staff from Corporate Partners or Individual members. All money raised goes towards helping drinks industry people around the UK who are facing daily hardship and whose lives are often not as rewarding as ours. Please book as many places as you can so that we can make this our most successful Benevolent Ball ever.
